THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced that the Offices of the Election Officer in several towns and cities in Cebu Province will suspend voter registration and issuance of voter’s certification.
The towns include Samboan, Sibonga, Argao, Cordova, Oslob, Liloan, Consolacion, and Minglanilla, and the cities include Talisay, Carcar, and Naga, which were put under modified enhanced community quarantine with heightened restrictions starting Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021.

The stricter community quarantine has been implemented to stop the transmission of the Delta variant of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
The nationwide voter registration will end on Sept. 30, 2021. (PR, NRC)
