ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. was fetched Wednesday, September 1, 2021, by the staff of Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office from his residence after he tested positive for coronavirus.
Lazatin started having symptoms this morning, which include cough and colds.
He was taken to the Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Lazatin’s chief advisor, IC Calaguas, said the mayor will remain in charge of the city government.
“Rest assured na hindi mapapabayaan ang operations ng city government at delivery ng basic services. Let us pray for the mayor’s fast and full recovery,” Calaguas said.
Lazatin was fully vaccinated in June. (PR)
