LTO commends 26 BCPO cops

The Land Transportation Office-Western Visayas has commended 26 personnel of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) including two officials for their valuable assistance extended to the agency.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Sherlock Gabana, spokesperson of BCPO, said the 26 personnel included Lieutenant Colonel Edel Jose Manzano, former head of City Mobile Force Company, and Major Ramel Sarona, chief of Police Station 1.

They received certificates of commendation from LTO-6 last week, Gabana said.

The ceremony was led by Atty. Gaudisio Geduspan, assistant regional director of LTO-Western Visayas, and Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir, acting city police director, at the BCPO headquarters last week.

Also present were Reuben Tampos, chief of LTO-Bacolod, and other officials of the agency.

Gabana said the commendation was given by the LTO-Western Visayas in grateful appreciation and recognition for the successful operation conducted by BCPO operating units against anti-fixing operations in the city recently.

For his part, Martir extended his gratitude to the LTO-Western Visayas for the recognition of the efforts of BCPO.

Martir said he will ensure that more coordinated effort and cooperation with other law enforcement agencies in the implementation of the rules and regulations affecting the peace and order and public safety in Bacolod City.*
