This was what Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama instructed his department heads at City Hall Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, a day after Typhoon Odette made landfall in Cebu.
“All financial assistance for PWDs and senior citizens will all be released and we are looking at if everything is okay then it should start supposedly on Sunday (Dec. 19),” Rama said.
Both registered PWDs and senior citizens were supposed to receive the last set of their cash aid worth P3,000 earlier this month.
The cash aid was for the months of October, November and December.
The distribution of cash aid will be initiated by the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs and assisted by the City Treasurer’s Office, Department of Social Welfare and Services and other departments to ensure that all entitled beneficiaries are able to receive them as soon as possible.
