

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, the DOH said 582 more infections were logged in the country.
The positivity rate remained at one percent, based on the 33,545 tests conducted last December 15.
The Philippines now has a total of 2,837,464 Covid-19 cases.
The DOH also logged 74 new deaths that raised the death toll to 50,570 as of 4 p.m. Friday.
The case fatality rate stood at 1.78 percent.
There were 494 new recoveries, though, bringing the total number of patients who have managed to recover from the disease to 2,776,727.
This means that 97.9 percent of the Covid-19 patients in the country were able to beat the virus, said the DOH.
Less the deaths and recoveries, the DOH said the country has 10,167 active Covid-19 cases. This accounts for 0.4 percent of all infections logged since the start of the pandemic in 2020.
Of the active cases, 4,015 were considered mild, 3,415 were moderate, 1,815 were severe, 539 were asymptomatic, and 383 were critical cases. (HDT/SunStar Philippines)
