Cyber Centre to host youth safe space, innovation center

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has signed a deed of usufruct with the Negrosanon Young Leaders’ Institute (NYLI) for a one-year use of office space located at the second floor of the Negros First Cyber Centre Annex Building in Bacolod City for the establishment of a Youth Safe Space and Innovation Center.

The NYLI was represented by its president Teodoro Angelo Villanueva and executive director Kevin Gaitan during the signing held at the Governor’s Office Wednesday, November 17.

The Youth Safe Space and Innovation Center will be used primarily as a dedicated mental and psychological support facility for Negrense youth at risk and those seeking refuge from sexual abuse and exploitation.

It will also provide a space for the youth to collaborate on projects and initiatives addressing key issues in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental. (PR)
